RECORDS
Academy Records was a Recording studio located in Dewsbury,
West Yorkshire. Founded in 1984 by Keith Appleton who was at the time a
professional organist & keyboard player, specializing in the Hammond organ,
doing gigs & studio session work up & down the country.
From the
early 1990s, the Academy gained a prestigious reputation within the extreme
metal community, and some of the well known metal bands to have recorded there
include Paradise Lost, Cradle Of Filth, My Dying Bride, Bal-Sagoth, Primordial,
and Anathema. It managed one single. Producer by Keith Appleton. It
issued singles in C-500000 numerical series. Distributed By Academy
Records.
