Independent label: Acoustics Records was founded by Hilary James and Simon Mayor. The full and correct title of the label is "Acoustics Records" but this is often shortened on labels to "Acoustics". This causes some confusion but it is the same label. This label has been the vehicle for solo projects and for their groups such as "Slim Panatella And The Mellow Virginians".
