Android Records was a DIY label. It managed one singles. Recorded At Ca Va Sound Workshops and Limited to 500. It issued singles in AND-000 numerical series. Android Records was formed in Edinburgh by Michael Robertson Lead Guitar and Craig Herbertson Songwriter, Lead Vocals, Rhythm Guitar, in 1976, Nicky Arkless Drums and Kenny Dalgleish Bass Guitar quickly joined and after a series of name changes and the advent of Punk, the boys from Portobello Comprehensive School became 'The Androids'. David Connelly added keyboards and for a few years The Androids toured Scotland playing village halls, pubs, clubs Universities and Colleges releasing one single, Manufactured And Distributed By Android Records.
