Independent label: Bogaten Records was a Scottish indie label out of Glasgow. Founded by Hector Bain and Ali Mackenzie.. Bogaten Records Former Address: 56 Manock Road, Glasgow, Scotland G44 5SE. Bogaten Record Bogaten 01 and 02 was a SRT custom pressing. Bogaten 01 SRT cat number S83CUS1943 and Recorded at Park Lane Studios in the South Side of Glasgow. Bogaten 02 SRT cat number S84CUS2057 and Pressed By Lyntone Recordings Ltd. LYN-13805 / 13806 and Recorded at The Paladium Studios, Edinburgh.. Distributed By Bogaten Records. The Wee Cherubs was a Glasgow indie band formed in 1983. They recorded one single 'Dreaming' in 1983 at Glasgow's famous Park Lane Studios. The single was released in 1984 with a limited pressing of 1000. The single did not sell well due to lack of promotion and the bands 'untogetherness'. There are purported to be around 400 copies of the record in circulation. According to Martin Cotter of the band, a few years after the band split he threw 10 or so boxes of unsold records in a skip whilst moving house. Apes in Control was formed in Glasgow, Band Members were Euan Wilkinson (vocals), Mark Nugent (guitar), Ali Mackenzie (saxophone, guitar, keyboards), Brian Carlin (bass, keyboards), Kevin Mccollum (bass), Grahan Adam (drums).
