Cable Records was a DIY label. It managed one single. It issued singles in VHF-0 numerical series. Distributed By PRT Records. Childs Play was managed by Brian Gannon, a group formed in the late 1970s in Oldham, Greater Manchester. The line-up included Tony Grant (drums/percussion/lead and backing vocals), Keith Andrews (keyboards/vocals), Paul Farnell (bass/trumpet/vocals), Phil Barrett (lead and synth guitar/vocals). Between November 1978 and July 1979 they recorded an album at Blue Studios and Puk Studios in Denmark. It was titled "This Is Childs Play Skoolies" and was released on UK Shark Records (SRTX/79/CUS514) in 1979.
