CHICK-A-BOOM
RECORDS

Independent label: Chick-A-Boom Records Former Address: 27 Egmont Road Sutton Surrey. This was the third and last single that Yakety Yak managed to release in their thirty odd years on the UK rock'n'roll scene. Released on Chickaboom Records (CHICK001) in 1980, both sides were penned by bass player, Drew Spikes, who also did the artwork for the picture sleeve. The Chickaboom Club was an regular venue on the London rock'n'roll scene for many years, run by Chris Barnsby, who ran a small record shop and also had Billygoat Records as one of his ventures. The Chickaboom Club was at the St Heliers Arms in Carshalton every Wednesday and Saturday for quite some time. There was also a Chickaboom2 Club at the well known Tigers Head (later known as The Squire), Catford for a brief spell ! Both venues have now been demolished. Distributed By.
