El Topo Records was a DIY label. It managed one single. It issued singles in TOP-0 numerical series. Distributed By El Topo Records. The sleeve was manufactured from a paper bag from the British Museum. The Pharaohs, were from Morecambe /Lancaster. They only ever released two 7" singles "In The Midnight Hour" on Laser records and "J'ai Beacoups de vous" on El Topo records. They toured with the Stray Cats, The Selecter. The lead singer would come on stage dressed as a Mummy. Two of their members (James Mackie and Adam Williams) left the band to join The Selecter and played on their second album "Celebrate The Bullet".
