GEORDIE AID
RECORDS
Geordie Aid Records was a DIY label. It
managed one charity single. The project was the brainchild of Lindisfarne
drummer, Ray Laidlaw. Those who took part included AC/DC's Brian Johnson, John
Miles, various members of Lindisfarne and The Animals, Tim Healy, Mike Neville
and Alan Robson, as well as a host of lesser-know names. The single went on sale
for £1-45p, with £1 from each record sale going to the famine appeal. The other
45p offset the overheads in pressing copies of the record. It issued singles in
HELP-00 numerical series. Distributed By Pinnacle Records.
