GOLD TOP
RECORDS
Gold Top Records was a DIY label. It
managed one single. It uses a catalogue number from the Blue Hat sequence. It
issued singles in Blue Hat Records BHR-0 numerical series. Distributed By Blue
Hat Records. Blue Hat released its first single, 'Boogie Town', by The Poole
Family (BHR-1), as late as November 1979. The vast majority of its records
appeared in the '80s. BHR-8 came out in December 1982, BHR-52 in 1987. The vast
majority of numbers seem not to have been used. Distribution was by Pinnacle.
The label is mainly notable for the fact that it released a single by a band
