 Independent label: The Korova label was set up by Bill Drummond, co-founder of Zoo Records, and was part of the WEA group.  The first single on the label, 'Rescue', by Echo & The Bunnymen (KOW-1) appeared in April 1980 as an outlet for Echo & The Bunnymen. The label was active throughout the 1980s and also released records from other bands such as The Sound, but also the UK releases by The Residents, and a few others. Mainly distributed by the Warner Elektra Asylum group of record companies. The label was reactivated by WEA in 2003 to issue the 25th anniversary remastered editions of Echo & The Bunnymen's first six LPs but also signed bands such Cosmic Rough Riders, The Storys and The Sounds. Korova collapsed in 2007. Distributed By Warner Elektra Asylum group.
