was the record label of Bill Fehilly's 'Mountain Management' company. Mountain
Records Former Address: 49 Mount Street London, W1. Nazareth are a
Scottish hard rock band, founded in 1968, that had several hits in the United
Kingdom in the early 1970s, and established an international audience with their
1975 album Hair of the Dog. Perhaps their best-known hit single was a cover of
the ballad "Love Hurts", in 1975. Nazareth formed in December 1968 in
Dunfermline, Scotland, from the remaining members of semi-professional local
group The Shadettes (formed in 1961) by vocalist Dan McCafferty, guitarist Manny
Charlton (ex Mark V and The Red Hawks), bassist Pete Agnew, and drummer Darrell
Sweet. The Sensational Alex Harvey Band formed in 1972 with veteran
vocalist Alex Harvey (born. 5 February 1935, Gorbals, Glasgow, Scotland, died. 4
February 1982, Zeebrugge, Belgium) teamed with struggling Glasgow group, Tear
Gas. Zal Cleminson (born. 4 May 1949; guitar), Hugh McKenna (born. 28 November
1949; keyboards), Chris Glen (born. 6 November 1950, Paisley, Renfrewshire,
Scotland; bass) and Ted McKenna (born. 10 March 1950, Glasgow, Scotland; drums).
