Mummy Calls Records was a DIY
label. It managed one single. It issued singles in MC-10 numerical series.Mummy
Calls were a British pop rock/power pop band based in Leamington Spa. The group
is best known for their single "Beauty Has Her Way", which was prominently
featured in the film The Lost Boys. Mummy Calls were formed in 1982 and were
active throughout the early to mid-1980s. The band's line-up consisted of
vocalist David Banks, keyboardist Alan Bint, drummer David Everingham - replaced
in 1984 by Paul Brook (formerly of Level 42), bassist Andrew Hingley (brother of
Tom Hingley of the Inspiral Carpets) and saxophonist Paul Howard. Following a
bidding war, Mummy Calls signed with Geffen Records and issued their self-titled
debut album in 1986. Distributed By Mummy
