PATCH
RECORDS
Patch Records was a DIY label. It
managed one single. It issued singles in PA-700 numerical
series. Ted Rogers (20 July 1933 or 1935 - 2 May 2001) was a fast-talking
English comedian and light entertainer who started his career as a Redcoat
entertainer and is best remembered as the host of the Yorkshire Television
gameshow 3-2-1. On 2 May 2001 Ted Rogers died after open-heart
surgery to replace a heart valve at St Thomas' Hospital in London of heart
failure age 65. With his trusty sidekick Dusty Bin, he was one of TV's most
recognised faces in the Eighties. Seventeen million viewers regularly tuned in
to 3-2-1 to see contestants battle with convoluted riddles that were meant to
provide clues to the big prize. Those who failed, and there were many, had to
settle for a ceramic version of Dusty Bin, the booby prize. Distributed By
Patch Records.
