PAW
RECORDS
Independent label: Paw Records and Tramp Records was founded by North Hertfordshire group
Stonefield Tramp - gravedigger Terry Friend and Rob Van Spyke - in 1974, after
they'd failed to interest any major record company in their
recordings. The group issued one LP, 'Dreaming Again', on their own
label before splitting up; a second, 'Come The Day' by Terry Friend &
Friends, followed in 1977 and was numbered THF-001. Presumably as a
result of the Punk boom Tramp then released a single by the Bleach Boys,
'Chloroform' (THF-002), which came out in 1978. As time went by,
Friend continued to release the occasional cassette of solo material; whether
any of it came out under the Tramp imprint is unclear. The Bees was a powerpop band from this Letchworth / Hitchen area
The Band were Pete Phillips (voc) Rick Camp (guitars voc) Clive Tonkin (bass)
John Wilson (drums voc). Distributed By Paw
Records.
