Pink Flag Records was a DIY
label. It managed one single. It issued singles in MENT-00
numerical series. Pink Flag Music Former Address: 73 Kitto Road Newcross
London SE14. Menticide began in Southwell, Nottinghamshire, England in 1976 / 77
with Gilly, Danny Wilde, Steve Krupa, Andy Tricket-Bell and Dave Reedman and the
infamous roadie Sham (Nigel Willows). Ian Wall replaced Andy Tricket-Bell. 1980
Danny Wilde moved to London, joined later by Gilly and based themselves in New
Cross Charlton and Deptford. Menticide continued on with Tom Cowan on bass and
Dave Pearce on drums. Bathroom Ideas Exhibition was the only commercial release,
recorded in Rotherhithe, released on Pink Flag Records their own label, financed
entirely by the band. Distributed By Rough Trade and
Pinnacle.
