 Independent label: Polydor was founded in 1924 as a brand name for Deutsche Grammophon products marketed outside of Germany. It grew to become a multi-national label with divisions in many countries, including in Germany. After a series of label mergers and buy-outs, Polydor ended up as part of the international Universal Music Group. The German division was first merged with Island Records Germany and became Polydor Island Group, which was in turn merged with other divisions into Universal Music Domestic Division. The Chords, a South East London group, formed in 1978 by singer/guitarist Billy Hassett and bassist Martin Mason, guitarist and songwriter, Chris Pope.Original drummer Paul Halpin did not stay long, and eventually became the group's tour manager. In his place came Brett "Buddy" Ascott.  Captain Beaky's band consist of Timid Toad, Reckless Rat, Artful Owl and Batty Bat. Sham 69 are an English punk band that were formed in Hersham in 1976. Salford Jets was a British rock band, who began life in 1976, and initially operated in the late 1970s and early 1980s. Jon and Vangelis is the collaborative effort between the singer Jon Anderson (the lead vocalist of the progressive rock band Yes) and the Greek synthesizer musician Vangelis Papathanassiou. Together they released a number of successful albums in the 1980s. Plácido Domingo, born 21 January 1941), is a Spanish tenor and conductor known for his versatile and strong voice.  Demis Roussos born June 15, 1946) is a Greek singer and performer who had a string of international hit records as a solo performer in the 1970s after having been a member of Aphrodite's Child, a progressive rock group that also included the well renowned Vangelis. The Wall were a punk rock band formed in Wallsend, Tyne & Wear, England, in early 1978. The initial line-up was Ian Lowery (vocals), Andzy Griffiths (bass, vocals), John Hammond (lead guitar, vocals), and Bruce Archibald (drums). Godley & Creme were an English rock duo composed of Kevin Godley and Lol Creme. The pair began releasing albums as a duo after splitting from the pop band 10cc. In 1979.
