RECORDS
Purple Records was a DIY label. It
managed one single. Recorded At the Windmill Lane Recording Studios Dublin,
Ireland. It issued singles in PR-000 numerical series. Distributed By
Purple Records. The Dixons was formed in Dublin in 1987 till 1991. Their
debut single I Have Fun / Crucifixion Blues one of those records that appears on
the Mother Record Label. The bands management failed to come to an agreement
with Mother which is why the second single was on the bands own label. They
split while recording their third album, titled "Exile On Dame Street". The
Dixons were, Niall Toner - vocals/guitar, Ed McGinley -
guitar/vocals, Alan Montgomery - bass/vocals, Joey Pleass - drums/vocals.
