Release Records was a DIY label. It managed one single. Recorded At Paul McCartney Hog Hill Studios in Kent It issued singles in KIDS-0000 numerical series. Distributed By Release Records. Spirit Of play are Craig Mathieson, Woody Woodmansey (the drummer in David Bowie's backing band The Spiders From Mars in the 1970s) and Nicky Hopkins (a keyboard player who knew The Beatles from their Hamburg days). Their song Children In Need was recorded at Paul McCartney's private studio in Sussex. Proceeds from the sale of the record went to the BBC's Children In Need Appeal in 1988. The single did not chart.
