Rococco Records was an Independent
label. It managed two singles. It issued singles in ROC-000
numerical series. Distributed By Rococco Records. Jazz Insects was a post
punk/dub band from Oxford, founded sometime in the early 80's. The group only
released one single and had Matt Black as member, who was studying at that time
(as Matthew Cohn) at New College, Oxford. He later on joined Coldcut, who are
credited as pioneers of pop sampling in the 1980s. The other members included
guitarist Mark Sinker, who later became the editor of Wire magazine, and singer
Dave Piddock, then at the Ruskin School of Art. Wow Federation was Post-punk
band formed in Oxford 1978. The line up in 1980 was: Nick Horton (drums), Mark
'Mozart Hughes aka Millree Hughes (guitar), Vicky Richardson (sax), James Rogers
(organ), Andy Sizer (bass), Brian Warner (guitar), Ian Royce Warner (vocals).
Members prior to this include: Andy Mason (drums), Bill Buchanan (drums), Carl
(synth). Bill and Carl went on to be involved in the group Dum Dum Dum. Ian,
Brian and Nick all used to play with the Dag Dag Bombers
