Rotunda Records was a DIY label. It
managed one single. Don't Bother To Knock is a 1989 Hi-NRG disco style
cover version of one of the contenders to represent the UK eleven years earlier
at the 1978 Eurovision Song Contest. The original version by Midnight was
eventually placed 2nd from 12 entries with 116 points at the 'A Song For Europe'
national selection show held on March 31st at the Royal Albert Hall in London.
It issued singles in 7TUN-000 numerical series. Distributed By
PRT Records. Bertice Reading was a Jazz and rhythm & blues singer, born July
22, 1933 in Chester, Pennsylvania, died June 8, 1991 in London, Reading began
her career in show business dancing with Bill “Bojangles” Robinson when she was
three years old. Vocalist in Lionel Hampton And His Orchestra in the
mid-1950s.
