Independent label: Rouska was a Leeds indie
label founded by Richard Rouska who also published a fanzine of the same
name. It managed two singles. It issued
singles in COME-0 numerical series. Richard Rouska Real Name: Richard
Paddison was a Publisher, writer, musician and journalist based in Yorkshire,
England. After being involved in the early punk scene he went on to write a
number of fanzines in the early 1980s. He set up his own record label (Rouska),
performed as a ranting poet ('The Mauled Avenger') and his own group WMTID. In
the early nineties Richard set up his own PR company working for artists/labels
such as Tom Robinson, Drug Free America and Cherry Red. In 1993 he set up
Berserk Publishing, producing the monthly Yorkshire magazine Panic; plus two
books: Scam and Nervous Breakdown. He has his own website 1977cc. Rouska Records
