SIX MINUTE WAR
RECORDS
Independent label: Highly
politicised budget punk rockers who packed dozens of songs on to their cheaply
produced EPs. Six Minute War formed in 1979, exploring minimal lengths and
lyrics as well as minimal instrumentation. First release was their self-financed
11 track debut E.P. called "33.3 RPM" recorded in April 1980. The next was "More
Short Songs", recorded in July 1980. Some of the members then morphed into
FALLOUT, (and Rob Taylor later joined Andrew Beer in Concrete and the first
version of 400 Blows) Their final release was 4 track E.P. "Slightly Longer
Songs". All records are Blank white labels. Distributed By Six Minute War
Records.
