Independent label: Sue Records was started by Chris Blackwell a UK branch of Sue Records Inc. (US) to license material by West Indian artists for release in the UK. Under the management of Guy Stevens, the label broke its agreement with the US company, and started signing and releasing R&B artists licensed from other labels, as well as some of its own signings. Original sound recoding by Sue Records, NYC, leased to Ensign Records Ltd via Lollipop Records Inc. Licensed through Island Records Ltd. Distributed By Island Records.
