Was formed by the band Cuban Heels. Cuba Libre records was a subsidiary of
Virgin Records, and used the same cat number in the VS series from 1981
onwards. The Shakin' Pyramids (also known as Shakin' Pyramids) were a
Scottish rockabilly band formed in Glasgow in the late 1970s. The band consisted
of Dave Duncan (vocals, harmonica, percussion) James G. Creighton (acoustic
& electric guitar, vocals) and "Railroad" Ken McLellan (acoustic guitar,
vocals). Willie Gardner was a Scottish musician, who formed part of various pop
and rock bands in the 1970s and 1980s, playing guitar. He was a cousin of Alex
Harvey. Cuban Heels was formed After Glasgow punk band Johnny & the Self
Abusers broke up, some of the members formed the massively successful Simple
Minds. The others formed the more modest Cuban Heels. the band was bassist Paul
Armour, guitarist Laurie Cuffe, vocalist John Milarky, and drummer Dave Duncan.
They set up their own label, Cuba Libre, to release the Walk on Water single in
