Diy label: Syncopation were a new wave band from the Altrincham & Sale areas of Manchester, who developed a strong local following. They released a cassette only album of studio demos, of which "Marking Time" became a live favourite. The track was also released on the Facsimile Liasons label in 1982 (cat. no. AFL4) b/w "Syncopation". Band Members James Carter (vocals, guitar), Peter Hawksworth (synthesizer), Michael Calderbank (bass, backing vocals), Craig Rostock (drums), Mike Taylor (guitar).
