Persian Rugs single was Recorded at Spaceward
Studios, Cambridge. The Persian Rugs formed in Edinburgh Scotland UK in 1981,a
three piece .Jamie Watson vocals and guitar ,Keith Grant backing vox and bass
Bod on drums and percussion.Jamie wrote most of the music while Keith was the
lyricist.The band released 3 records ,first was a 7 inch 2 track single"Burning
Passion Pain"on Phoenix Records followed by an LP called "Drowning Pool"also on
Phoenix Records. The third release was a 3 track, 7" single called "She Said" on
+1 Records.. Blues 'N' Trouble was a five-piece blues band, all members of which
were born in Scotland, was formed in Edinburgh in the early 80s by Tim Elliott
(harmonica/vocals) and John Bruce (guitar). After numerous personnel changes
during their formative and semi-professional years, by the middle of the decade
they settled into a hard driving and highly regarded band. In the mid-80s, Blues
‘N’ Trouble toured as support band to some visitors from the USA, including
Robert Cray, B.B. King, Charlie Musselwhite, Pinetop Perkins and Junior Wells.
Blues ‘N’ Trouble continued to work a busy schedule during the next 20 years,
appearing at numerous UK venues and also playing festivals around the world. At
the start of the 00s, Elliott was leading Mike Park (guitar/vocals), Alan Scott
(bass) and ‘Lucky’ Lox Lovell (drums).
