Christopher Hamill was born on 19 December 1958 at Pemberton, Wigan, Lancashire, known professionally as Limahl (an anagram of Hamill), is an English pop singer. Chris Hamill began his musical career in 1980 when he released the single It's Christmas under his real name. However, his breakthrough came as the lead singer of the band Kajagoogoo beginning in 1981, There debut single Too Shy reached number one in the UK charts shortly after its release in early 1983 and has sold over four million copies worldwide. After two more hits ( Ooh to Be Ah and Hang On Now ), Limahl left the band after internal differences in late 1983.
