Rise Records was an Independent
disco label. It managed one single. Don't Bother To Knock is a
1986 Hi-NRG disco style cover version of one of the contenders to represent the
UK eight years earlier at the 1978 Eurovision Song Contest. The original version
by Midnight was eventually placed 2nd from 12 entries with 116 points at the 'A
Song For Europe' national selection show held on March 31st at the Royal Albert
Hall in London, hosted by Terry Wogan and broadcast live on BBC1. The winning
song, Bad Old Days by Co-Co was chosen by the votes of 14 regional juries and
ended with 135 points. It issued singles in RISE-0 numerical series.
